FOCUS: A new World Health Organization (WHO) review of animal studies has found reliable evidence that RF radiation increases the risk of cancer. This reinforces the 2018 findings of cancer from the National Toxicology Program and the Ramazzini Institute. We expect that scientists will call for the WHO's International Agency
on Cancer (IARC) to augment their carcinogenicity classification from "possible" Class 2B in humans set in 2011 to "probable" or "known" carcinogenicity in humans in 2025. The objective of the new review commissioned by the WHO International EMF Project was to systematically evaluate the effects of RF EMF exposure on cancer.

The National Call's submission to the FCC's deregulation "Delete" request recommended that NEPA be enforced more rigorously and the FCC's rules which have fostered the irresponsible deployment of communications infrastructure has caused harm. (See #s 28 and 29 online. )

Cancelling WiFi in Libraries & School Buses
Legislators moved to cancel off-campus hotspots in libraries and school buses through a Congressional Review Act used to
overturn a federal agency ruling. The Wi-Fi hotspots implemented by the FCC in July 2024 tapped into the $2.6 billion E-Rate program to fund these hot-spots. The National Call filed comments with the FCC on Oct 26, 2023 and Jan 8, 2024 opposing these Wi-Fi hotspots as they would increase the amount of RF radiation exposure. (See thenationalcall.org/Resources) Also, the FCC was sued in 2024 by anti-bullying advocates in Molak v. FCC. "The FCC is again exceeding its reach .... Two Children Dead Because of illness tied to Cell Towers?
Two children who attended a Liverpool primary school died after an infectious outbreak. Cell towers had been installed near the school. Liverpool has the largest 5G network in the UK and the second largest in
the world. EM Radiation Research Trust is investigating the link with 5G towers next to the school.

HR 1870 would conflict with the MAHA imperative. The National Call has recommended to the House Energy & Commerce Cmte that HR 1870 remove digital red-lining, preserve states’ discretion over service quality, consider the higher costs of wireless, remove language discriminatory towards wired broadband, and incentivize FCC compliance with congressional mandates and court order.

Amazon Joins Satellite Race
Amazon has officially entered the satellite broadband game with the first major deployment for Project Kuiper, its internet-from-space initiative aimed squarely
at competing with SpaceX’s Starlink. Amazon plans a 3,200-satellite network at 280 miles up, slightly below Starlink’s 340-mile altitude.

FL After complaints from Naples citizens, Collier County opted not to build a tower near the Everglades National Park. FL After a year of asking, Kendall, Miami-Dade citizens finally received a copy of the Radio Frequency Emission Report from Crown Castle and plans for what was being built in their community. MA Well-known telecom attorney, Andrew Campanelli's testimony helped defeat a cell tower plan in Greenfield, MA. MI Plainfield Township’s Planning Commission has granted a permit for a 165-foot cell tower off 10 Mile Road NE, despite protests from neighbors stating the addition would ruin backyard views, clog a private drive and plummet property values. NM Magistrate Court ruled that the Mesilla city must allow a cell tower despite historic boundaries codes because of civic loophole.
OH AT&T filed a lawsuit against Columbus, OH, accusing the city of
"illegally" blocking plans for a 5G cell tower near the Moore Creek soccer complex. The city is defending its block.

“The key to understanding the current state of Telecom Mast [called cell towers in US] adjudication in the UK, lies in the misconception that officers and councillors cannot include health factors when they are considering telecom mast planning applications. This is a most profound and
fundamental misconception, and it was drawn attention to in the Supreme Court by Lord Gill who reprimanded the Suffolk Coastal District Council for treating the NPPF [National Policy Planning Framework] as law, and when it is not.” (Suffolk Coastal District Council v Hopkins Homes Ltd) ICNIRP is the regulating authority in the UK whereas the
FCC is in the US. ICNIRP excludes many people such as those with metal objects/implants in the body, prostheses, or medical device implants (pacemakers) – though EMI (electromagnetic interference) effects are of a “technical nature and do not fall within the remit of ICNIRP.” Further, as more information is disclosed, and the public becomes more aware of the independent science that shows “carcinogenic and other
deleterious health effects that are generated through non-thermal pathways,” questions will arise as to why officers and councillors chose to adhere to ICNIRP’s “thermal metric.” “The public at large are about to be educated about the non-thermal effects of telecom mast radiation.”
